Yorkshire Independent Roof Training Group (YIRTG) Officer, Denise Cherry recently went to meet with G Smith Roofing Ltd, a family firm specialising in loft conversion work in Leeds. Director, Geoff Smith - known on YouTube as the Roofing Outlaw - has made sure histeams are well trained, including putting his son through an apprenticeship at Leeds College of Building.
Denise also met Geoff's daughter Bobby Mae who is following in her brothers footsteps and starts college shortly. Bobby Mae has spend quite a lot of time on roofs already and particularly likes doing decractive slate work. YIRTG will be supporting Bobby Mae and following her progress through her apprenticeship.
